A Night Out in the Square

This is where we spent the night - The Charles in Harvard Square.  Bill is back from one business trip and then off on another but this time in our own backyard.  He'll be in Cambridge until Wednesday and I just tagged long to enjoy hotel living for a night.
They have a skating rink in the courtyard but no skating going on.  But I love all the twinkly lights in the trees around the hotel.  Who doesn't look good with a row twinkly trees behind them?
We went to dinner with his pals from the office - Jo, Stephanie and Rakesh.  A nice stranger took this triptych with Bill's head bobbing around behind us.

Stephanie is getting married in 2016 to her boyfriend of 15 years. He has his own name tattooed on his arm in Chinese but won't get hers.
This is the first time I've met Rakesh.  I love his deadpan delivery.  Or maybe he was just monotone because he was falling asleep after 20 hours on a plane.
Blog readers will remember Jo from our night out at the theater to see White Christmas.  She has already been shopping in the few hours that she was here to get the US bargain prices.  Funny how when you live here it doesn't feel as inexpensive as I know it is compared to the UK.
But this could be my favorite picture from the night.  It's hanging in our hotel room.
"Doug loved his own lectures."
