Park Dance

The picture below should really just be the whole blog post because looking at it right now I'm completely in love with it.
The day was perfect - 75 degrees, sunny with a light breeze.  Everyone was out in the park.  We were walking through to get to the other side when we spotted these girls dancing.  Not just dancing but clearly practicing some sort of routine.  They did the same herky-jerky motions over and over and over again.  We were completely mesmerized.  Those girls totally made my day.
(This is Jen talking, by the way, in case it seems creepy weird for Bill to say that.)
Then again, a shot like this kinda makes my day too.
Summer in London.
Our destination was the London Map Fair.  In case readers are not aware of this - I love maps. I could stare at them for hours.  Bill and I have gotten interested in maps of London at various time periods so I figured that we might find a little treat for ourselves here.
(Side note - is that woman wearing a floral romper?  Should rompers really be back for anyone over the age of 5?)
Then we found the stall with the maps of the London Underground and my heart skipped a beat.  I think the evolution of the Underground map is so fascinating - and many of the maps that were produced 100+ years ago were really very beautiful as well as useful.  We wound up buying one (not the one pictured below) that even had little drawings of land marks like an elephant at the zoo and a boy flying a kite at the park.  The seller told us this would have been a leisure map for tourists, not a commuter map.  It's awesome and would look so good on the wall with other variations of tube maps next to it (to be collected….)
Our second destination:  Frock Me!  We've been here before - they host these vintage clothing fairs several times a year in Chelsea so we decided to check it out out again.  Pocket squares for Bill and a beaded wrap dress for Jen.

I'll leave you with these shots of a building in Chelsea.  Optical illusion?  Could you fit a bed in if you lived there?  How did this shape evolve?
