Saturday Part Two: Sing A-Long Pub Night!

Mike has arrived.  All hail Mike.
Here he gives sage advice to his minions.
That's right - Mike and Kim from Colorado are here on a 24 hour layover for a work sponsored trip.  They are staying at Heathrow and brought another work couple - Mark and Kathleen -  into the city with them to meet us for dinner.  Mike's other London friend, Bhavesh, joined us to make eight for dinner.
When you are Mike sometimes you must go incognito.
The night was a blur of conversation and laughs.  Mark and Kathleen from Dallas fit right in!

Mr Dibley came along as Whitney's date.
Bhavesh is a great guy who went to Mike to Africa for three months.  They told fascinating stories about doing good in the world.  And they got to go the African MTV awards.  The only person they saw who I heard of was Eve.  I think she raps.  She has paw prints tattooed on her chest.
The guy in the t-shirt really took the sing along very seriously.  He was up at the piano, belting out show tunes like he was Ethel Merman.
Mike's sneeze was almost caught on camera.

Bill is not buying what Bhavesh is selling.

Small Face!
Big Face!!
Big Face??

Our pianist was a hoot.  She knew just what songs would get the bar singing along.  Some of the songs were predictable sing alongs; show tunes, Beatles...
But Whitney and Kathleen really got into it when she played "I Think We're Alone Now" by Tiffany!!

This gent stepped in for our eccentric lady pianist.  He immediately won us over by playing "F#*@ You", the C Lo Green hit.  He never cracked a smile.  Perfect.
Even the best of friends have spats (see my and Mr Dibley's day out last weekend).  Mike is on the barrel end of a Jen barrage.  His only defence was to close his eyes and pretend he was invisible.
Fortunately, Jen gets over things fast and Mike is to slow to remember what just happened.
They all blew in and out too quickly.  We loved the few hours we got to spend with them and look forward to the next hookup.
