Tuesday night and we are at our local, The Victoria.
"Turn off the flash! We look like bloody tourists", she said.
No idea why I sanctioned the inclusion of this picture.
We stumbled upon Quiz Night! It was simultaneously fantastic and horrific at the same time.
Six rounds. A chance to win £100. Jen and I wisely told the manager we'd watch our first time out. Good thing. We would have come in dead last.
Below is an example of the questions we got very wrong. We knew Abe Lincoln and Christie Brinkley. We missed Shakira and the obscure Brits we'd never heard of. CompetiJen will now want us to study up on our Brit knowledge so we can go every Tuesday.
We made friends with the table next to us. The were nice to us even though they knew the answers to the American questions better than we did. When we told them the U.S. President who died in 1994 was Gerald Ford they didn't hold it against us (it was Nixon).
I will probably be in India next week, so Jen has vowed to go to The Victoria next week without me for quiz night.

I would bet $100 we will be reading a post soon about Jen winning this competition.
