Pub Footie

Victoria vs. Kendall!
Football at Linford Christie Stadium at high noon!

We took the tube to White City Station.  A new one for me.
The team is confused.  Where are we?
We made it... 15 minutes before game time.
The match was played next to Wormwood Scrubs Prison.  Great name for a prison.

Jules strapped on her boots (football shoes) and kicked some ass.

 Jules makes a tackle.
 Hi Ellen.

 Chris coaching his troops.

Ellen rocking cool new socks she bought for the match.
Penalty kick by the Vic... just missed.
 Jerry throws one in.
 Half time.  Vic down 2-1.
Jules looks cool on the sideline as Jerry (team Captain) give his troops some guidance.
Jerry is brilliant.

Coach Chris played some brilliant goal.

A hard fought match.  Tough loss, that could have gone either way with a few breaks.
Kendall 5, Vic 3.
Post match we took the bus to a pub.
That's me in the bus camera filming my first bus ride in London.
 Drinks at The Defector's Pub.

This Monty Pythonesque photo hangs proudly in the pub.
I'm sure there is an explanation, but damned if I know what it is.
The celebration after the cricket match earlier in the year was jubilant and boisterous.
This post match gathering was more contemplative, casual.
Good on you, Kendall.  The Vic will rise to the challenge next year.
