Poor Quizzing, but Great Acting

It's always right to start off a blog with dog pictures.

Ann Maria could use our blog to get acting jobs.  Instead of going for a stressful audition she would simply send the link and they could see her acting range.

Our quiz team, the Saucy Orchestra's, ballooned to nine at one point.  Earle and I did not play so we don't count.  Ollie was in and out and Anne Maria and John popped in late.  But we definitely had numbers tonight.

We also had zombies!
No, I didn't get picked for the big question.  I'm just posing with the quiz master, Chris.

A double photo bomb.  Very rare.  Ollie photo bombed me as I was photo bombing Earle and Anne Maria.
Earle had this confused pose most of the night.  He joined Jen and I as Americans who knew no answers.
Two members of A.W.K.N.A. local 407.  (Americans Who Knew No Answers)

Ollie had a lovely pork chop.
This looks just like the zombie pose.  Alas, it's the team's attempt at mime.  Weak sauce, indeed.  Step up your acting, team.
Earle being told that his role is to be seen, not heard after blurting out another incorrect quiz answer.
 Come on, Earle!

This is suppose to be us acting as a couple newly in love.  I look like a serial killer wondering if I should eat Anne Maria's brain with or without vegetables.

 More dog photos for Christin.

John has a giant thumb.  (fill in inappropriate joke of your liking, Didi)

While Earle was rubbish in the quiz, Chris on the other hand was brilliant.

I told the girls to pose arm wrestling.  No posing here.  This is a battle.  Look at the redness of Jen's hands.
And what grit on both ladies.  Jennie is red as  beetroot.

Jen taught Anne Maria how to thumb wrestle next.  She taught her by crushing her thumb.  Jen likes the experiential learning method.  She especially likes when her pupils learn that Jen dominates.
On to the quiz questions.  Our giant team finished in the middle of the pack when 'we' (I did nothing, so am using 'we' very liberally) missed a question in the last round.

Conde Nast moved into what new office building last week?
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have named their home "Highclare Castle". This is also known as what?
What toothpaste is also a word for part of a wave?
What company is associated with the number 57?
what 5 countries had the most casualties in WW!?
In Supersize Me, Morgan Spurlock only ate what for a month?
Who wrote The Public Confessions of a Middle Aged Woman (Aged 55 3/4)?
What Eurythmics song was also a TV show?
What does the FC stand for in FCUK?
The band Lesbian Bed Death played at a Goth Festival in what town recently?

Give me a 'Y'!  Jules goes with the squared off 'Y'.  Interesting choice.

Give me an 'M'! There is some disagreement about how to do an 'M'.  While technically correct (ish), Anne Maria is not giving us the traditional 'M'.  Nor is Jules.  She is the smartest one in the group, but obviously has trouble with basic direction.
Give me a 'C'!  Earle must have a form of dyslexia.  Anne Maria's 'C' is a mystery.
Give me an 'A'!  The team is coming together, for sure.  Jules is technically correct here, but chose to do her own 'A'.  She's a non-comformist.

In case you have not figured it out, I told them to do the YMCA dance.

My favourite pose of the year.  Playing dead on the bridge on the way to Anne Maria's house.
The actors sacrifices for this shot, as they ended up with damp trousers.
 Phew, everyone is safe.
It's a Paddington Bear-off.  Anne Maria wanted to get payback for her arm wrestling loss to Jen.
Very close.... very close, indeed.  Anne Maria's non-smile may push her over the top.  Although Jen's positioning of the hat is slightly better.... too close to call!
Chris wins the sneer-off, hands down.
'Be embarrassed' was the direction.  I originally scoffed at Anne Maria's choice, but upon reflection she pulled off a fabulous subtle version.

Cheers everyone.  Quiz answers below.
