Saturday was a mix of culture and sport. After imitating works of art (and a delish lunch - eaten, not imitated) at the gallery we boarded a train to Dunferline to watch Andrea's team take on East Fife.
Play Ball!
The Scots are definitely a tougher breed than us. We were huddled for warmth in our hats, scarves (Dunfermline colors for Bill from a pre-game visit to the shop) and even a blanket that we bought at the train station. The Scots, on the other hand, didn't seem to notice the bracing wind or the freezing temps.
The game was exciting but unfortunately a 2-1 loss for the Pars (that's Dunfermline's nickname but no one seems to know why).
Better luck next time, boys! To add insult to injury we came across this sign in the park. A no golf zone in Scotland?
By the way - we were with Andrea but she is a bit camera shy. I have trouble wrapping my brain around THAT concept!!
