Traveling the Thames

We've been here almost a year and we have never been on a Thames boat ride so we decided to try traveling the Thames to Greenwich.
This is the shard - the tallest building in Europe.  I was amazed to hear that it costs 25 GBPs to go to the top.  So that's the equivalent of about $40 to stand in line, take an elevator up 72 flights, and look around.  So instead of vies from the Shard, we have river views...
The Tower of London
London skyline with gherkin in the background
This is the Monument to the Great Fire of London built in the 1670s to commemorate the rebuilding of London after the 3 day fire destroyed much of the city.  The gold top is supposed to make it look like a candle.

A variety of London Bridge.  Yes, Mr. Dibley joined us for the trip!

It was warm enough to ride on the top deck of the boat.  We had to listen to the crap tour guide for some of the trip.  The usual rubbish about kissing your sweat heart as you go under the bridge - and if they aren't there, kiss your husband ha ha ha.  Eye roll....
