Happy Mothering Sunday
(this is a very British way of saying Happy Mothers Day)
OK, enough about Mothers. Back to the regularly scheduled program.
A long work week ended with a pub in Bath, as it should. It started out a nice little night out with Christine, Jen and I and it ended with many laughs and drinks with our new friends, Jean, Elaine, Brian and David.
Brian and Jennie. Brian is a retired Accountant. He met his mate, David, years ago working for the British equivalent of the Department of Defense.

Elaine - Brian's girlfriend. Lover of The Archers.
Jean - Loves fast cars. She was a real pip.
David - has eaten rabbit eyeballs. Fun guy who doesn't mind being the brunt of a joke.
We talked about the normal topics to break the ice; weirdest foods you've eaten, celebrities you wish you could live with. When David started with his rabbit eyeball eating experiences (apparently David would do anything on a dare), we knew we latched ourselves to a fun group. David's celebrity roommate was Stephen Fry. I'd pay to watch a television series with David and Stephen Fry.
Jen and Elaine talked Archers for an incessantly long time. It may still be going on if the pub didn't kick us out at closing time.
(Jen just reminded me to tell the story of how I asked the men if they had nicknames for their genitalia and that Brian had said The General. He didn't say that at all. Jen came back from the loo wanting to know what we were talking about so I made up the story. Brian laughed and we moved on to more rabbit eye eating talk.)
