Right Side Up Walking and Upside Down Planking

Sunday morning we put on our wellies and went for a walk on the footpath behind the b&b.  England is absolutely covered in official footpaths that criss cross the hills and dales of the English country side. We walked on some hills but I'm not sure if we walked on a dale....
We did see some sheep!

The Brits are serious about their walking paths.  As you go between properties they have these wonderful little steps to get over the fences.  For some reason I was really excited about these.  Doesn't Bill look like a real country gent??
We came to this amazing tree branch that just begged for someone to lie on it.  Bill and I were talking about planking so Bill wanted to plank on the branch.  Unfortunately, planking is lying face down and Bill was right side up....so we're calling this upside down planking.  It's going to sweep the nation!!
In case anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, here is the Wikipedia definition:
Planking (or the Lying Down Game) is an activity consisting of lying face down —sometimes in an unusual or incongruous location. Both hands must touch the sides of the body. Some players compete to find the most unusual and original location in which to play. The term planking refers to mimicking a wooden plank. Planking can include lying flat on a flat surface, or holding the body flat while it's supported in only some regions, with other parts of the body suspended.

After a morning full of sheep and planking it was time to get back to the b&b to check out.  We still had a full day ahead of us at Blenheim Palace!!  Tune in tomorrow for the birthplace of Winston Churchill.
(Have no fear - this is a teaser that I can actually deliver on, Christin)

Aren't those steps called "stiles"?

I thought planking was a yoga thing. Nice form by Bill though! Very stiff.

Honestly, if Diane doesn't have a comment about your comment, Aaron, I will be very disappointed....

I thought planking was a yoga move, too, kind of like push-ups but holding yourself up with stiff arms, no going up and down. (that's for Aaron and Jen!)
