Bill gets knocked out

Finally Friday night is here.  A long work week winds down.  Jen and Bill decide to go to the Vic for a quick dinner.  Jules and Jerry say they can meet us.
Ann Maria just got off her shift.
This will not be a quick dinner.

Jules making closing arguments.  No idea why, just accept it and move on.

We were joined by Newbury (England) residents Angela and Chris.  They came to London to see the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.  That's not our friends nickname, it a play in London.

They are lovely.  Married 45 years.  Chris says several of them were happy years.  (I always like that classic joke.)

He ridiculed us for being royalists.  I'm happy I didn't break out my Betty tattoo.

When I was talking to Angela and Chris we talked about fun things, like why they like Florida and why we think it should be sawed off of the country and left to float away.  When I went to the loo I came back to a very detailed conversation led by Jerry about the prostrate.

Not able to add much that I wanted to share about prostrates, I turned to the table next to us.
Two couples.  Swedish.  Playing a fun dice game.

Banana Maria

Banana Maria looking wind swept.

Jules copying everything Banana Maria does.
'Stop copying me.'
'Stop copying me.'

Jerry disgusts the girls ... again.

'What I do?'
Isn't Jennie cute.

Cute...until you disagree with her ....

I was invited to play the dice game.  They were very nice to not allow me to come in last.

The artist formerly known as Banana Maria.

Ann Maria happy.
Jen angry.
I forget what they are acting out.
Meanwhile, Marlin let me fake bartend.

She's an excellent teacher.

No beer was actually poured by this fake bartender.
I must pour a beer before we leave.

Back at the game I'm on a roll.

... and I lose ....

OK.  Time to go.

Especially after Bill scoring a big zero in Swedish dice.
I hope that's the hand gesture being made here ...

Goodnight Claudia.  Goodnight Luke.

Goodnight Angela.  Goodnight Chris.  Goodnight Swedish friends.

The girls are getting belligerent.  Time to make like a tree and leave.  Let's make like a shepherd and get the flock out of here.  Let's make like a banana and split.
(a callback to Banana Maria, get it?)

Outside, the fresh air does us good.  Time for a calm walk home.

We're all happy.

Too happy?

Goodnight, Ann Maria.

Uh oh.  Fisticuffs break out.

And Bill is down.

Ann Maria stepping on her victim.

I suppose I'll let Ann Maria have her win.
It is after all, her birthday weekend.
Saturday we celebrate with a birthday do.
So until then, I bid you adieu.

This a one of the most entertaining posts. I love the story progression. I want to play dice with the Swedes too. And yes, Jennie is cute!
