Jana arrived this morning from Seattle!! She's here for a week and on Thursday she and I hit the road for York. But tonight it was dinner at the Horse and Groom (our usual...because The Two Brewers is always full - even on a Wednesday night. And yet we go there first optimistically every time only to walk in to a packed pub and have to turn around and walk out. Really, when will we learn? Book ahead!)
Anyway, Bill joined us for dinner and quizzed us on our 80's musical taste. Would you rather have been in Journey or The Eagles? The Eagles may have a more timeless musical legacy but, according to Bill, Journey was a happier group. Meanwhile Bill and I established a mutual dislike for Steely Dan. It's nice to find we are still in synch after so many years. (Especially PEG - worst song ever.)

I would have to disagree (as always) with Bill. I like both bands but the Eagles are still together with Henley and Frey. Journey, on the other hand, had a nasty falling out with Steve Perry and they are now on their 87th lead singer. Hence the Eagles are happier...
