World Cup Win - Quiz Night Loss

Still on the Zurich recap…
On Sunday we needed to get outside quickly before the afternoon rain.  This is where the boys go to school.  That structure is a cat ladder so that someone's cat can get into the upstairs window. (The caretaker??  I can't remember who has the cat.)  As you can see, our little lion wanted to give it a try.
All that climbing gave Miles an appetite so we took him to one of those places where you can select your food before they cook it for you….
This is the wild life park that is just down the street from Kats' house.  I'm not crazy about zoos in general but these are all indigenous animals and they have plenty of room to roam.  The bears were out in full force that day as five of them were splashing around in that green water.
We got under the roof just in time….
 Downpour!!

The rain stopped….for now….time to get home...

What was the rush?  Why, the WORLD CUP FINALS of course!!!!  Go Germany!! Schnell!
Eli and Leo are ready with their flags and t-shirts.

Mid game angst.
 Even Miles was into it.

 We won!!!!!!!!  Woo hoooo!!!!!!!!!!

This was the boys' first time staying up so late - a real treat for them to see their team win in overtime.  But there will be two very tired little boys at tennis camp only a few hours from now.
Of course since this is a Zurich recap I need to include the quiz results from Tuesday night.  I joined Orchestra again and we came in second to Les Quizzerables. We were doing really well (or rather, they were and I was cheering them on) until the final Wipe Out where we got one wrong and wiped out all our correct answers for the round.

World Champions for the third time in my life time, now I need England to get threir act together, and Switzerland, too. Such a great feeling after a brilliant world cup, though there was certainly a lot of capital A Angst during the regular time....
your photos are fab, and we miss both you and miles - I'd forgotten what good company he is.

Those bears are so cute! I'd be visiting them every day (Christin would too, I'm sure).
