On my last day in Zurich Kats took me into the city for a little sightseeing (and shopping). We climbed to the top of the Grossmunster (Great Minster) to get some city views. Isn't Zurich pretty? This is a small, very walkable city but full of culture, restaurants and things to do. The down side? It's an expensive place to live. And that's coming from a Londoner who's conditioned to pay 50+% more than the US without batting an eye. The rude awakening came right away at the airport where I bought a cup of tea for 5 swiss francs. There is approximately a 1 to 1 conversion to US dollars so that was a $5 cup of brown water (and to add insult to injury she gave me Earl Grey)!!! Oy!
High altitude selfie.
Then we wandered the streets.
And did a little window shopping. I love these little glove book clips.
This zany shot is my favorite - Kats enjoying a rose petal bath in a florist shop window.
The old town has plenty of narrow streets and lots of hills for Fitbit flights.
Lunch Time!
It's been nice to work on these posts now that I'm back home. I get to re-live the adventures. Did I already call out what wonderful hosts Kats and George were? I barely had to lift a finger for 3 days. They spoiled me rotten. It was quite depressing to come home and have to cook my own food (or rather, buy my own ready meals from Pret a Manger).
Thank you for a perfectly fabulous weekend, Kats! I'll be back! :-)

Jen, the way you capture a day is wonderful. I'm sure Kats loves seeing her city through your blog post. I'd love for you to visit Albuquerque so that I could see my city through your eyes.
Wow, Zurich is beautiful.
