Sightseeing in Zurich

On my last day in Zurich Kats took me into the city for a little sightseeing (and shopping).  We climbed to the top of the  Grossmunster (Great Minster) to get some city views.  Isn't Zurich pretty?  This is a small, very walkable city but full of culture, restaurants and things to do.  The down side?  It's an expensive place to live.  And that's coming from a Londoner who's conditioned to pay  50+% more than the US without batting an eye.  The rude awakening came right away at the airport where I bought a cup of tea for 5 swiss francs.  There is approximately a 1 to 1 conversion to US dollars so that was a $5 cup of brown water (and to add insult to injury she gave me Earl Grey)!!! Oy!

It's been nice to work on these posts now that I'm back home.  I get to re-live the adventures.  Did I already call out what wonderful hosts Kats and George were?  I barely had to lift a finger for 3 days.  They spoiled me rotten. It was quite depressing to come home and have to cook my own food (or rather, buy my own ready meals from Pret a Manger).
