All American Ballers

Sunday was a day to visit friends and family.  I went to Randy's but he was off at a baseball game.  It was great visit with Haley and Maureen though.
Then off to Scott's house.  I had a nice chat with him, Tina and Alix.  Eric was off at a graduation party.  Shortly he's off to boot camp for the service and we're all proud of him.

Then I shot over to Gloucester to play some ball with Allie and Joey.  Joey won the fielding contest.
I was embarrassed about my lack of range.
'Life is a long lesson in humility' - J.M. Barrie.
(If Mother Entwistle wasn't on strike I'd ask her for a metaphor to help me out)

In fairness, Allie was posing for a swing.  I told her not to hit it or I might get a ball off my head.  She missed on purpose.
Fielding champion Joey demonstrates his mad skills.
Back to work on Monday….and only a few more days to enjoy the old life at home.

Not a metaphor, but if we're talking humility -- be it ever so humbling, there's no place like life.
