A High Flyin' Dinner

Monday night in Seattle.  Jana booked our dinner with a surprise.  The restaurant was hidden in an alley near Pike Place.  There was no sign to tell you what to expect - just a pink door.
Under the sidewalk was a candlelit room filled with chandeliers and rococo decor.
The food was delicious.  Jana and I ordered the swordfish and the risotto and shared plates.
Amidst the ornate decorations there were also apparatus hanging from the ceiling.  This one was above my head.
About every 20 minutes or so there was a trapeze show in the middle of the restaurant.  They told us not to take any pictures when they sat us at our table but you know I don't live by the rules.  The show was great!
Everywhere we go, there's a monkey.
Wait - is there one money or two??  Oh, that's Jana...
After dinner we went across the street to this unassuming storefront.  It turned out to be a British Pub.  Drinks only, no food, and the clientele seemed to be just a few regulars on a Monday night but they welcomed us in.  I think because Joey looked so good in a tie.
These are our wine glasses filled to the brim.  I actually did vow that we would go back EVERY NIGHT while we were there and of course, we didn't go back for the rest of the trip.  Which just means we need another trip to Seattle!

I am completely unbiased, but of course I LOVE LOVE LOVE this blog post! Such a fun evening. Seattle is missing the Bill & Jen & Joey show ;-)
