Why does this look familiar?

Our day started out one way and ended in the same way as the day before.
Below, Jen is wide eyed on the bus to the airport. Whenever we are heading home after a vacation we always say the same things. We loved our trip but now we wish we could snap our fingers and be home.
That didn't happen.
Below is Jen after it was announced (while we where sitting in the plane) that this flight wasn't going anywhere.
Ireland has been hit with one of those every ten year storms. Lighting, thunder, hail, snow. No one on this island has a snow shovel. The place is crippled.
We got off the plane and an episode of The Amazing Race began. Those who had cell phone immediately began calling their travel agents, admins at work, loved ones .... anyone who could help them. Some of us got online and tried to rebook our flight using the Aer Lingus directions (they suck at directions). The folks I feel bad for are the technology challenged. They wandered around asking questions to anyone who would listen. It made us a bit sad to watch.
But fear not. We are in Ireland. In Ireland people are friendly. People ask you if you need help without you asking them for help.
In the U.S. they would have been run over like a chipmunk under an 18 wheeler.

So we are "forced" to stay on vacation.... another couple days in Ireland.
It's a sacrifice, but we'll do our best to hold it together.
(One more thing; when we got back to the B&B after over 8 hours of nothing in the airport, we went to the pub. Trevor, a friendly Irish fellow, bought us drinks and gave Jennie a kiss goodnight.)

Are ya planning to bring a wee bit o' that snow and chill back this side of the pond when you finally make it? We certainly hope not.

The amount of snow here would barely register in Boston! When they announced that the airport was closed it was because it was going to take 6-7 hours to clean off one runway. I think it must have been one little old man with a broom. No one here has a snow shovel so all the sidewalks and people's steps etc are still covered. They keep saying it never snows here but obviously it does. I'm thinking of starting a snow removal business here - I would make a killing!!
