Morning at the Guggenheim

The Peggy Guggenheim Museum was the best art museum on the island.
(It was also the only one we knew about and went to.)

Peggy was much like Isabella Stewart Gardner.  Rich woman.  Private collector.
Much of Peggy's tastes leaned toward modernism and penises.

Jen was in mid season form, as she posed as statues.

Fortunately for all, Jen did not try to imitate the guy on the horse with wood.
Odd choice, Peggy.

Hmmm... I wonder if Mr. Guggenheim was jealous of Peggy's art.  Art envy.

Easily the worst piece in her collection below.  If you look real close you'll see a giant painting of graph paper.  This reminded me of a recent story I read where a couple of college kids played a prank in a San Francisco art gallery by putting a pair of glasses on the floor and then watched people take pictures of it like it was real art.  The glasses would have been better than this rubbish.
 Best piece.  A Pollack.

Note from Jen - below is one of my favorite pictures from the trip.  With views like this, who needs museums??
