For years I've been listening to the Guardian Book Club podcasts...Tuesday night Louise and I attended the December event with 2 time Booker Prize winner, Hilary Mantel.
They kept us waiting on the street in the bitter cold for about 15 minute but we quickly warmed up with a complimentary glass of wine.
The event was in the Draper's Hall in London - which was originally the site of Thomas Cromwell's house. His house has been destroyed and rebuilt and altered several times but it was a pretty incredible venue and we wound up with front row seats.
