We still haven't really settled on "our pub". Just about 100 yards from our door is the Waterman's Arms. We are usually looking for dinner as well as a pint and they don't serve food at night. But last night we decided to eat in and then go down for a pint. It was clearly a local's hang out but we snagged a seat on the leather couch by the fire and settled in.
So they may not serve food but they DO have salsa dancing lessons!! Our seat on the sofa had the perfect view onto the dance floor. If we really wanted to fit in and meet people we would go join the lesson, right? Bill claims that despite having superior athletic skills, he is lacking the coordination required to move his feet, hips and arms at the same time in a dancing motion. I think he was afraid of being upstaged by a man I was calling "Mr Khaki Pants" - -he has his back to us in the photo below but when the music starts he had all the moves. I suspect that he is a mild mannered file clerk by day, a dancing fool by night. Maybe I can get Doug and Marge to partake in some post Thanksgiving cha-cha-cha!
