Throw it in the pile....

The shippers come next Thursday to pack a crate  (about 4.5 feed cubed) to take to the UK. In addition to all our winter clothes and some practical items (some kitchen items, winter coats, boots, etc) we want to bring some stuff to make it feel like home.  So Bill and I have been wandering around the house, picking up various items and throwing them in the pile.  You'd be surprised at the things that we feel we can't live without.  The little ironing board (Bill is going to have to wear actual business clothes in the UK - I can assure you that until now I have rarely used it), his humidor box, my favorite tea cub, paintings, Bill's man bag, the bread box... We've got a very random collection of crap lying around the ex-dining room. It's been an interesting exercise - try walking around your house and ask yourself what you couldn't live without for 2 years.  You may be surprised at what you choose.
