Miles and Miles of Miles.

I am long overdue to send our Fabbie mascot, Miles, to Nancy along with our next postal bookclub book…but I've been hanging on to him because I wanted to do a day in the life of his time with me.  Today was finally the day.  Of course, doing it mid week meant it was a pretty dull day so I tried to take a lot of shots on our morning walk to fluff it up a bit.  Here we are at 6:15AM limbering up in the living room to head outside.  Mile is still a little sleepy and had bed head.  I've got my earphones ready to listen to the latest episode of The Archers as I head out the door.
He was excited to trace our path on this mosaic map of Newburyport.  First stop  - the water.
Sunrise.  Miles started to take a little snooze against that fence….
From the river to the rail trail….
To the mall (That's mall as in "pal" not mall as in "paul")….
To Market Square.  Miles is fully awake at this point and he's looking around for someplace to grab a bite….not yet Miles, we still have more to walk.
Our second pass on the boardwalk.
And we are back in the hood.
Home sweet home.  Actually, I come home from the morning walk with mixed feelings.  The morning walk is one of my most favorite things and when it's over it means it's time to start working.  Booooo!
But first we need nourishment!  Miles couldn't wait to dig in….hold on - is that black pudding in my eggs??  Miles says "Send me to Nancy asap so I can enjoy a decent bagel with a shmear."
And now - we work.  This little lion is not interested in spreadsheets and power points.  At least I have Fabbie reminders to keep me company (and Queen Victoria and my little Mr Darcy statue.)
By the time we get outside again it's dark!! I'm on a mission to grab some wraps for dinner before we meet the family.
It's family movie night!  We all got together to go see Spectre.  Mile is a big James Bond fan.  We argued during the previews about who should be the next Bond after Daniel Craig.  I say Idris Elba but Miles kept saying Leo Dicaprio….I had to remind him that his name may be Leo but he wasn't a lion.
After the movie we needed to work off that large bag of popcorn with a little walk.  We couldn't resist trying out these new benches overlooking the river.  Quite comfy and ergonomic.
It's been fun having Miles with me but I know it's time for him to move on.
Next stop for Miles is the City of Angels to visit Nancy 90210!

I fear Miles will be disappointed, after all, last year we sunned ourselves in Mexico. Love your
"Day in the Life of..." pix and can't wait to welcome Miles back to LaLa Land. xxx90210

I hope Miles got lunch and a mid-day cup of tea!
