Fashionable? Month Two

I remember when I would only allow flattering pictures of myself on this blog.  Those days seem to be over.

It's month two of the mail order surprise fashion shipments.
They did better this month - but still no winners.
As a model, I require music to put me in the mood - so Bill put on music videos like Icona Pop ("I Love It!")  for me to dance to on the runway.
Our judges for the evening were BIll and Laura who popped over after getting her plans completely mixed up and showing up at a restaurant in Kittery Maine when all her friends already cancelled. Oops.
Lucky for her because now she gets to watch the fashion show!!
First up - boot cut jeans!
They fit well in the hips but were about 6 inches too long.  And I'm not in the mood to go see the crotchety tailor down the street to have them hemmed.   She's always in a bad mood.  And hemming jeans just doesn't seem cool. Hmm..although looking at this picture of my derriere I'm wondering if I made a bad choice.  Lookin' good, Grandma!
Item #2 - A floral jacket.
Now I have to say that this fit perfectly.
But after some deliberation I decided that I wouldn't wear it enough and the pattern/colors were not what I would choose.
Item #3 - a long loose tank top.
It's hard to say if this fit or not.  It was potentially too big although I know it's supposed to be quite loose and drapey.  I just don't do drapey very well.
Item #4 - a maxi shirt.
This was enormous.  A family of 4 could have worn this skirt all at once.  And still had material left over to make pillows.
If I fell in a river wearing it all that material would definitely pull me to a watery grave.
I had to check the paperwork to make sure it really was a skirt - when I wore it as a dress it still almost hit the ground.  Laura remarked that it would make a good outfit if I was still in the choral society but then again, I still have my choral uniform/Amish funeral outfit so I really don't need another dirge dress.
Item #5 almost found a home on Atwood Street.  I'm a sucker for plaid.  It's hard to tell from this picture but it had a unique button front if/when you closed it.  It was a wee bit tight across the back and the sleeves were way too long.  The judges talked me into giving this one a miss.
And…that's it.  Another box of rejects.
I'm giving this one more month so watch for our December fashion show in a few weeks!
