...the day after

Most of the friends and family who stayed overnight after the wedding looked nothing like they did the day before.  Predictably, when 20-somethings have a night of free alcohol where you don't have to travel, the result is well, a mess.
One guest fell over three times during the night.  The most spectacular was when she fell face first into the grass.  When we peeled her off the ground we saw that she had cleanly crushed a Bud Light can with her face.  Unfazed, she grabbed her cigarette and continued smoking while lying on the ground.  It was an impressive feat.  We wanted to see if she had a beer can shape imbedded in her forehead in the morning, but alas she was still sleeping at 11:00 when we left.

Two beauties who still looked lovely in the morning were Zoe and Trudi.

Wyatte will be a leader of men one day.  He kept looking for projects to work on.  He found a good one in chair removal.  He led his group of little kids, motivating them by telling them "Hurry, we have to load all these chairs before the bad guys come and take them!'.  He is a worker, man.

One other funny story from the wedding was when it was time to present the rings.  Each of the grandkids had a ring.  Wyatte, Mr. Responsibility, had his ring ready to go.  Malikai, Mr. Goofball, comically got his stuck in his pants pocket.  There were a few anxious moments wondering if he lost it.  Then everyone noticed that his fly was down.
I was assigned to bring props for picture, but unfortunately the night didn't play out to use them.  We pulled them out the day after.
Zoe hugs her Bret doll.
I'm sure these afro wigs will be seen again during a slow blog day, so they won't go to waste.

I envisioned the NPPS crew to wear these the next time they watch Sense and Sensibility.

The ride home was a long one in a driving rain.  We were tired, but still abuzz from the lovely, fantastical wedding day.
