Heat Wave... for some of us

Bret popped over for a surprise visit. I wish he was able to do that all the time. It's hard being away from him and his family. (snuck in a quick picture of Petey. It's been too long since she has been in the blog.)

And.... 95 degrees out and our half house neighbor, Barbara, is hand sanding our deck because she said she likes to do it. I'm guessing she's 60 and she must have spent 20 hours this weekend on her hands and knees covered in sawdust. Far tougher than I'll ever be. And across the street Joel put on his one piece jumper, complete with hood and respirator mask to scrape his house. Again, it was 95 degrees out. Clearly I lack the gene to contemplate hard labor in the sweltering heat.
